What is a Hashtag Generator?

A hashtag generator is a free online tool  that creates correctly structured hashtags for social network posts. My Hashtag Generator automates the creation of hashtags with a single click, eliminating the need for manual entering and formatting.

This tool supports Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn with automatic platform limits so you never exceed the maximum allowed hashtags for each platform. It produces a composite hashtag based on your keywords and allows you to copy individual hashtags.

How to Use This Tool

Step 1: Type or paste your text or keywords into the input box.

Step 2: Choose your target platform from the dropdown to set the appropriate hashtag limit.

Step 3: Select your options: CamelCase, lowercase, delete stop words, or add a combined hashtag.

Step 4: Click Generate Hashtags to create your hashtags instantly.

Step 5: To copy all hashtags at once, click Copy All Hashtags, or choose a specific hashtag to copy.

Platform Hashtag Limits

Instagram: Supports up to 30 hashtags per post. While using all 30 hashtags might increase reach, focusing on 5 to 10 highly relevant hashtags is frequently more effective.

Twitter and X: Although there is no official restriction, it is recommended to use 1–3 hashtags per tweet. Using more than 5 hashtags might dramatically reduce interaction.

TikTok: Allows hashtags of up to 100 characters. The suggested technique is to use 3–5 relevant hashtags and 1–2 trending tags.

LinkedIn: Recommends 3-5 hashtags each post. LinkedIn's algorithm prioritizes smaller, more precise hashtags over huge numbers.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a CamelCase hashtag?

CamelCase refers to capitalizing the initial letter of each word in a hashtag. For example, use #WebDesignTips instead of #webdesigntips. CamelCase hashtags are simpler to read, particularly for large multi-word hashtags.

What are stop words?

Stop words, such as "the", "and", "is", and "for", add no value to a hashtag. Removing them results in clearer, more relevant hashtags in your content.

How many hashtags should I use?

It depends on the platform. The current Instagram best practice is to use 5-15 relevant hashtags. For Twitter, 1 to 3 is great. For LinkedIn, 3-5 works best. Always favor relevancy over quantity.

Is this tool free?
